Kids are heading back to school across the country, and more and more of them are starting their day with a free, healthy breakfast – served as part of the regular school day, not early in the morning.

Research shows just how powerful it can be to make breakfast as part of the school day, especially for kids from low-income families. And we’re seeing just how big an impact it can have in Los Angeles, the second-largest school district in the nation and home of the country’s largest school breakfast program.
